So, tonight Bazaar Consignments will be hosting Richmond-based White Laces, and a mysterious Roanoke band called Winter’s End. Well, not that mysterious. 9:30, $5, All Ages. Get on it.

But before you go, take a listen to this. It’s a mixtape I made on Lala for Seanmichael with VA based bands from the 90′s and early 2000′s. Labradford, Gregor Samsa, South, et al. Good stuff.

Pictures from the Circus Practice/ Paper the Operator show at the Bazaar 1/1/10

Paper The Operator are a 3-piece indie rock band from Raleigh, NC. This band of strangers made friends with our eardrums and forced our feet to tap along! Catchy melodies all around!

Roanoke’s own The Circus Practice are a 7-piece mostly instrumental band with a sound all their own. They combine elements of surf rock, psych rock, jazz, and vaudeville to form quite the pleasing mixture. We here at Scenic Recovery highly suggest you check them out!
